Key Qualifications:
- Current Georgia PSC Teaching license, P-12 SPED endorsement required
- Dyslexia endorsement issued by Georgia PSC
- Demonstrated experience working in special education environments, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Familiarity supporting children exhibiting behaviors associated with autism, developmental and learning delays, and speech/language challenges
- Strong ability to foster inclusion and provide differentiated instruction in diverse learning settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to a caseload of approximately 8-10 elementary students in an inclusion classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to meet IEP goals
- Monitor, document, and report student progress, maintaining compliance with state and school policies
- Guide and supervise students, including assisting one student who requires oversight with a toileting goal (no diapering or changing involved)
- Create a supportive, positive classroom environment that enhances self-regulation and learning for young children
