Your classroom will consist of approximately 8–9 students, providing focused educational support within a co-teaching model. Qualifications:
- Hold an active GaPSC Teaching Educator Certificate with the SPED General Curriculum endorsement
- Experience or training in special education, especially in an elementary and inclusion setting, is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work collaboratively with general education and special education professionals
- Organized, adaptable, and committed to student-centered instruction
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in an inclusion classroom
- Co-plan and co-teach alongside colleagues to deliver effective academic and behavioral support
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
- Maintain detailed progress records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Engage in ongoing communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
