Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Special Education License preferred (open to candidates working toward endorsement)
  • Must hold, or be eligible for, special education credentials in Michigan
  • Prior experience in high school special education is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for inclusive education and student advocacy

Responsibilities:

  • Manage IEP caseloads (14–18 students, with additional support available)
  • Develop and implement effective IEPs
  • Conduct student evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Deliver specialized instruction in inclusion, resource room, and push-in settings
  • Collaborate actively with general education staff and families
  • Attend optional paid Monday meeting (4:00–5:00 PM)
