Special Education Teacher - Denver, Colorado

In this role, you’ll provide most services via a push-in model, allowing you to integrate seamlessly into general education classrooms and promote inclusive education practices. Your expertise will be vital in delivering instruction, accommodations, and modifications that enable student success. Those selected for interviews will receive detailed information tailored to specific caseloads and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Current Special Education teaching certification/license (or eligibility) required
- Experience in schools as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and the process of implementation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students with varying needs, primarily through a push-in approach
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs
- Work closely with teachers to modify curriculum and support students’ access to the general education setting
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and maintain communication with families
- Adapt instructional strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs
