In this full-time contract position, you’ll guide and empower students across a variety of caseloads. Grade levels depend on current openings, offering opportunities to match your areas of passion and experience. Most services are provided in push-in settings, collaborating alongside general education staff to deliver targeted support without interrupting classroom engagement.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for Colorado
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest working with diverse learner needs
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with fellow educators, families, and school teams
- Flexibility to manage and adapt to multiple caseloads or grade levels
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities using primarily push-in service models
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with general education teachers to adapt lessons and classroom supports
- Track student progress and maintain compliance with all documentation requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning for student success
