Special Education Teacher - Discovery Bay, CA

What You’ll Need:
- Current, active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential
- Experience working with elementary school students, ideally in a RSP setting
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and special education compliance
- Ability to tailor instructional strategies to diverse learner needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with general educators, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with mild to moderate needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, collaborating with the special education team
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and actively engage with families and colleagues
- Support students with a wide range of learning differences, helping them achieve academic and social success
- Assist in developing positive classroom management strategies
