Special Education Teacher | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Valid LBS-1 Certification for Special Education (required)
- Previous experience in Special Education classrooms is highly valued
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Compassionate, collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
- Commitment to supporting individual student growth within an inclusive educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in line with student needs and district standards
- Provide instruction, support, and adaptations for a class of 10 students in a self-inclusion classroom
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and related service providers to promote student success across the curriculum
- Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages learning and personal achievement
- Complete necessary documentation and reporting while complying with all regulations

- A consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, based at a single school site
