Make a direct impact supporting elementary students’ growth as a Special Education Teacher for a school year contract. This opportunity is based near Doerun, GA, serving young learners in a supportive educational environment. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and specialists while helping shape children’s academic and social development.
Qualifications:
- Valid GA Special Education Certification is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Previous special education teaching experience is beneficial
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Positive, compassionate approach to supporting diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Adapt curriculum to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Work directly with students in both small groups and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to provide comprehensive support
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
Job Details:
- Contract position covering July 31st, 2026, through May 21st, 2027
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Elementary age group
- Specific caseload size and program details will be shared during your interview
