Special Education Teacher (STARS Program) | Full-Time | Dripping Springs, TX
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a high school STARS program in Dripping Springs, Texas. This full-time position will support students in grades 9-12 with significant support needs, providing specialized instruction and individualized educational programming designed to help students achieve academic, social, and functional success.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- ASAP start through May 21, 2027
- High school caseload (Grades 9-12)
- STARS Special Education Program
- Support students with significant educational and behavioral needs
Responsibilities
- Develop, adapt, and modify instructional materials to meet individual student learning needs and IEP goals
- Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with each student's educational plan
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional strategies to support student success
Qualifications
- Active Texas Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience working with students with significant disabilities and support needs preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to modify curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learner needs
