Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and intervention in a self-contained classroom setting for middle school learners
- Provide specialized support to students with learning differences, with a focus on Dyslexia and reading challenges
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Use differentiated instruction and data-informed methods to track student progress
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and productive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—administrators, specialists, and families—to promote student success
- Participate in professional development, including free training in Dyslexia and reading interventions if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working in a middle school special education classroom or with students requiring reading intervention
- Certification in Dyslexia and/or reading interventions is highly desirable (free district-provided training available if you do not already possess these certifications)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to create supportive and engaging instructional experiences in small group settings
