In this engaging position, you’ll be working in person with Grade 8 students (September through November 26), supporting a small class of 10 students with a variety of disabilities in a general education setting.
Qualifications:
- Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification (Required)
- Experience working with middle school students preferred; open to new graduates who are eager to learn
- Strong commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse needs, ensuring access to curriculum
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in a co-teaching general education environment
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with students, parents, and staff
- Participate fully in the school’s daily schedule, from 7:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch
