A full-time contract opportunity is available near Easton, MD, beginning August 24, 2026, through June 14, 2027. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team of educators, providing expert guidance to a classroom of bright 4th-grade students in a resource/co-teaching environment. Each day, your efforts will foster an inclusive setting and empower students to achieve their goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Special Education Teacher license
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource or co-teaching setting preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and adaptable teaching strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Passion for differentiated learning and student-centered support
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 15 elementary (4th grade) students, supporting diverse learning styles and academic goals
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
- Partner closely with general education staff to create an inclusive classroom experience
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student growth and challenges
- Contribute to team meetings and professional development as required
