What you bring:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in one or more of the following: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood Special Education, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS is an option, not mandatory)
- Deep understanding of behavioral strategies and classroom management for students with moderate to severe needs
- Excellent attendance record and strong reliability
- Proficiency in creating and implementing effective behavior plans and classroom routines
- Proven success in collaborating with special education, general education colleagues, and paraprofessionals
- Ability to adapt instruction and problem-solve in a dynamic school setting
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a resource or center-based teacher for students in grades K-8, focusing primarily on behavioral supports
- Designing and delivering individualized learning plans in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Implementing evidence-based strategies for students with cross-categorical disabilities, with an emphasis on emotional and behavioral support
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and instructional success
- Providing mentorship and direction to paraprofessional staff within the classroom
- Supporting students transitioning back from FMLA leaves (as applicable)
