Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license in Minnesota (MN)
- Experience working in resource settings with middle and/or high school students
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Collaborative approach with ability to work closely with teachers, families, and support staff
- Adaptable, proactive, and committed to fostering inclusive classrooms
- Previous contract or travel teaching experience a plus, though not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized academic strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Manage a diverse caseload within the middle and high school resource environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to modify curriculum and provide support
- Deliver direct instruction, monitor progress, and document student achievements aligned with IEP goals
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
- Uphold compliance with state and federal special education regulations
This full-time, five-days-per-week position allows you to focus on meaningful student interactions, building positive relationships, and delivering targeted instruction where it matters most.
