Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential with one or more of the following:
- Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
- Special Education: Early Childhood
- Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Special Education: Learning Disabilities
- Special Education
- Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (not required, but accepted)
- Proven knowledge of individual and group behavior plans, classroom routines, and effective instructional methods
- Strong commitment to dependable and consistent attendance
- Ability to work collaboratively with both special education and general education staff
- Skilled in scheduling and coordinating with paraprofessionals
Primary Duties:
- Deliver specialized instruction in self-contained classrooms to students with higher support needs
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom behavior supports
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student growth and skill-building
- Work in partnership with colleagues and paraprofessional staff to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain regular communication with families and educational teams
- Adapt instruction and supports to meet a spectrum of learning requirements
