Special Education Teacher | Elk River, Minnesota
Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary students as an onsite Special Education Teacher in a resource setting. Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching License required
- Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota teaching credential
- Experience working in an elementary special education setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instructional support for students in a K–5 special education resource classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, parents, and administrators to facilitate student success
- Track and report student progress, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements
- Create and adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
- Promote positive behavior and encourage social and emotional learning
