Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally within an Emotional Behavior Disorder Center-based setting
- Commitment to collaborating with academic teams, families, and support staff to ensure student success
- Strong communication skills with adaptability in dynamic situations
- Ability to tailor strategies and supports to meet a range of student needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) designed to support emotional, behavioral, and academic growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive, supportive classroom experiences
- Employ evidence-based behavioral and instructional strategies
- Lead small group and one-on-one interventions, tracking student progress and making data-driven adjustments
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
