Located near Elk River, MN, this contract position offers the chance to serve as an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-Based Special Education Teacher within a specialty elementary school committed to Mathematics, Science, and Children’s Engineering. The role spans the 2026-2027 school year, from early September through early June, with a full-time weekday schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in emotional or behavioral disorders
- Strong ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to individualized instruction and innovative teaching strategies
- Resume and certification required to be considered for presentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for elementary students with emotional and behavioral needs
- Facilitate engaging classroom instruction rooted in mathematics, science, and engineering principles
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to design and carry out interventions
- Utilize Project Lead the Way Launch curriculum to empower young learners in STEM and real-world problem-solving
- Manage classroom environment to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and results
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school community initiatives
