Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State certification in special education (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially K-5
- Strong skills in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs and styles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and team members
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
