Elementary Licensed Special Education Teacher - Eugene, Oregon

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Certification in Special Education for grades K-5
- Proven classroom experience at the elementary school level
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Expertise in differentiated instruction, behavior management, and adaptive learning strategies
- Excellent communication skills for building partnerships with staff and families
- Passion for helping diverse learners reach their full potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school staff and families
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued
- Assess students’ strengths and growth areas, documenting progress toward goals
- Coordinate with general education teachers, therapists, and aides to provide holistic support
- Communicate consistently with parents/guardians about student progress and needs
- Apply effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe learning atmosphere
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education
