Special Education Teacher - Flushing, New York

Key Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, with preference for background at the pre-K level
- Valid New York State Certification in Special Education
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to develop individualized learning approaches for young children with diverse needs
- Dedication to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the readiness level and developmental needs of pre-kindergarten learners
- Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress, track data, and modify strategies as needed for optimal growth
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to support the educational and social-emotional development of each child
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages growth, independence, and confidence
