Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, valid Special Education teaching credential (mild to moderate specialization preferred)
- Experience working with students identified as SPED in K-12 settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Ability to differentiate instruction and employ various behavioral management techniques
- Flexibility and positive attitude when addressing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and support in both small group and individual settings for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and modify instructional strategies based on assessment data
- Foster an inclusive classroom climate to support student confidence, independence, and participation
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student goals, progress, and accommodations
- Adhere to all state and federal guidelines pertaining to special education
