Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Massachusetts license/certification for Moderate or Severe Disabilities.
  • Prior school-based Special Education teaching experience.
  • Experience working with elementary students with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with special education compliance and best practices.
  • Successful completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may be accepted).

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and support to 2nd and 3rd graders in a fully onsite setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate closely with other educators, families, and specialists.
  • Monitor and document student progress rigorously.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences.
  • Support inclusive classroom culture and provide behavioral interventions as needed.
