Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with PreK certification in Alabama required
- Experience supporting students on the Autism spectrum and managing a variety of behavioral needs
- Background working in a self-contained classroom preferred
- Strong commitment to inclusive, differentiated instruction
- Effective communicator with parents, related service providers, and school teams
- Organizational skills and adaptability to meet students’ individual learning goals
Your Role:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals
- Develop and maintain engaging, structured classroom routines
- Track students' progress and collaborate in IEP meetings
- Employ behavioral interventions and positive supports
- Foster a positive learning environment promoting independence, self-advocacy, and classroom community
- Engage regularly with families to ensure consistent support
