Make a difference in students’ lives by supporting learners with diverse needs in a collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity for a Special Education Teacher runs from August 2026 through May 2027, and offers the chance to work onsite with students in Resource, High School, Middle School, or K-8 settings near Glendale, AZ. You’ll provide vital case management for students on IEPs, helping them reach their academic goals and supporting the whole child in a positive, team-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct instruction tailored to IEP goals
- Managing caseloads for students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations
- Developing and implementing a full continuum of services for students
- Consulting and collaborating during the Response to Intervention (RtI) process
- Maintaining clear, accurate, and timely student records and documentation
- Providing ongoing communication with parents and guardians about student progress
- Implementing and managing behavior intervention plans and behavior supports
- Collaborating with school staff to deliver accommodations and modifications
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
- Handling other duties as necessary within the educational program
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
- Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
- Experience working with students in special education, ideally in a variety of grade levels or settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills
- Commitment to professional growth, collaboration, and student advocacy
