- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and teaching strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction adapted to students’ unique needs in a resource, self-contained, or inclusion setting
- Design, update, and execute IEPs in collaboration with families and staff
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on outcomes
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrative staff to ensure student success
- Engage with families, offering guidance and updates on student development
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives to remain at the forefront of best practices
