What you’ll bring:
- Current and valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably K-12
- Strong understanding of IEP development and specialized instruction
- Effective classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Willingness to relocate or travel as needed for onsite work
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in individual and group formats
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
