Multiple openings are available for certified Special Education Teachers. Candidates must hold the 461 endorsement and be certified to teach either Comprehensive and Mild/Moderate or Intervention caseloads.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license with 461 endorsement required
- Certification in Comprehensive and Mild/Moderate or Intervention
- Proven experience in a special education classroom setting
- Ability to adapt instruction and support to meet the varied and unique needs of students
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain records effectively
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction according to students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Monitor, measure, and report student progress toward IEP goals
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team planning
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
