Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification—required
- Experience serving elementary-aged students—preferred
- Knowledge of inclusion, push-in, and pull-out instructional models
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support to students within inclusion, push-in, or pull-out settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and other specialists to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor academic and behavioral progress, adjusting approaches as needed
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging classroom environment for all students
- Maintain documentation and work in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
