Special Education Teacher | Grand Rapids, Michigan
Make a difference supporting students’ speech and language development as a Speech Therapist in vibrant Colorado Springs, CO. As a valued Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload and collaborate with a supportive educational team across five days a week, totaling 24 hours. Your expertise will support young learners at varied developmental stages, making daily impact on their communication skills and growth.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Active Colorado SLP license (required)
- Familiarity with school-based therapy services for elementary and middle school students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech/language therapy to students in kindergarten through eighth grade
- Assess, develop, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Consult with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student success
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as needed
