What you bring:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Experience with middle school-age students, especially in resource or support roles
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs, both in small groups and during direct classroom support
- Skilled in building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Your responsibilities:
- Provide tailored in-class support to help students access grade-level curriculum in a general education setting
- Deliver targeted pull-out instruction in a small group or one-on-one context
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, case managers, and other support personnel to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes growth and engagement
- Utilize a variety of learning strategies and accommodations to reach all learners
