You’ll work with approximately 15 students, offering both in-class support and conducting pull-out instruction to address varying educational needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with middle school students, particularly in grades 7-8
- Solid background in providing both in-class support and individualized pull-out services
- Strong understanding of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with general educators, support staff, and families
- Ability to design and adapt lessons that address a range of learning needs and styles
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage documentation and student records
Responsibilities:
- Deliver educational support to students in resource settings and within general education classrooms
- Implement IEP goals and adapt instruction based on individual student abilities
- Provide targeted pull-out instruction to help students meet learning objectives
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, related service providers, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates as needed
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate between $40 and $50. Working onsite means you’ll build meaningful connections with students and staff while playing an integral role in each student's academic journey.
