Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required for Special Education.
- Demonstrated experience working with students facing behavioral and mental health challenges, preferably in a self-contained classroom environment.
- Solid skills in case management, including IEP development, student evaluations, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, adept at working with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Strong commitment to supporting diverse learners with patience, adaptability, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained program for 10–16 middle school students navigating behavioral and mental health needs.
- Provide direct instruction, classroom management, and emotional/behavioral intervention.
- Conduct student evaluations, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and coordinate with related services.
- Manage case files, prepare reports, and facilitate regular meetings with educational teams and families.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals, school staff, and support personnel to ensure comprehensive student care.
