Qualifications:
- Active and valid Virginia Special Education Teacher Certification (required prior to start)
- Experience working in self-contained or inclusion classrooms preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials for students with diverse needs
- Committed to onsite presence and engaging with school teams in-person throughout the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver instruction tailored to individual needs in self-contained and/or inclusion settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices
- Conduct and participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records
- Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom culture
- Assess student progress and implement data-driven strategies for growth
