What You'll Need:
- Valid and active California Mild/Moderate Special Education Teaching credential (required)
- Experience with resource specialist programs (RSP) in a middle school setting preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of middle school students (RSP), supporting their academic and social/emotional success
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet students’ unique learning needs
- Track progress, document interventions, and maintain clear records
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to ensure alignment and student achievement
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support differentiated instruction and behavioral management
