Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of Mississippi (or eligibility for reciprocity)
- Proven experience working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual learning styles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Proficient at maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Experience with inclusive classroom models and various teaching methodologies is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students’ unique needs
- Support and instruct students in both individual and small group settings
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster student success
- Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
- Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required
