Elementary/Middle School Special Education Teachers

ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year in Gulfport, MS. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to support students in self-contained special education classrooms while fostering academic, social, behavioral, and functional growth in a collaborative educational environment.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students achieve their educational goals while working alongside supportive school teams and families.

Qualifications:
- Active Mississippi Special Education K–12 License/Certification (221) required
- Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential required
- Previous experience working in self-contained special education settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and educational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill development
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Caseload:
- 2 Self-Contained Classroom Openings
- Elementary and Middle School Caseloads
- Final assignment to be determined by district needs
