Special Education Teacher | Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Currently, two self-contained classroom openings are available with placements at the elementary or middle school level (caseloads to be determined).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching licensure (SPED K-12 221) required, with credentials for either mild/moderate or moderate/severe needs
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students in self-contained settings
- Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative school environment
- Ability to create, adapt, and implement individualized educational plans for a diverse caseload
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized academic support to students in a self-contained classroom
- Develop and maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment that addresses each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure cohesive service delivery
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and goals
- Maintain all required documentation and case management tasks in compliance with state and federal laws
