Special Education Teacher | Hilliard, Ohio

An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education professional to work onsite for the entire 2026/2027 school year. This contract position is based near Hilliard, Ohio, and involves working 37.5 hours per week supporting students at the elementary, middle, or high school level. Multiple openings may be available, and specific caseload assignments will be finalized based on student needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education (applicable for elementary, middle, or high school levels)
- Experience or strong preparation working with students with a range of disabilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Solid collaboration skills for working with teaching staff, support professionals, and families
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop and modify lesson plans to meet varied academic and behavioral needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary conferences, and regular communication with families
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers and other stakeholders to facilitate inclusion
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence
This position enables you to work with a manageable caseload (elementary and middle school assignments up to 16 students; high school up to 24) in a supportive educational community. The contract is for onsite work only at this time, offering stability throughout the school year.
