Key Qualifications:
- Current special education teaching licensure or certification (or eligibility) for grades K–12
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
- Demonstrated experience, student teaching, or internships within special education settings
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Solid communication skills, both with students and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing, delivering, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Modifying general education curriculum to meet students’ unique needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Assessing student abilities and growth, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed
- Documenting progress and maintaining required compliance records
- Contributing positively to the school community and participating in professional development
