Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher Certification: Multi-categorical (PK–Grade 12) or eligible to obtain
- Skilled in managing the IEP process, developing goals, and implementing accommodations
- Previous experience (preferred) working with children requiring behavior intervention
- Willing and able to work in-person, onsite, consistently following the school day and school year calendar
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support that meets a diverse range of behavioral and academic needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and fellow educators
- Employ positive behavioral intervention strategies tailored to elementary-aged students
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate student progress effectively
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment positive for learning
This full-time position offers a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, ensuring work-life balance while making an invaluable contribution. Compensation is determined based on experience and will be reviewed prior to your interview.
