Required Qualifications:
- Active LBS1 Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous experience teaching or student teaching in special education, ideally at the junior high/middle school level
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general education teachers
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and providing supports based on IEP goals
- Willingness to use data-driven instruction and commit to inclusive classroom practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-teach 7th and 8th grade science courses, ensuring access and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs
- Support classroom management and differentiate instruction
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with fidelity
- Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain open communication with families and participate in parent-staff conferences if required
- Fulfill required paperwork, progress monitoring, and attend relevant meetings during staff hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
