The assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with an engaging schedule of five days per week, seven hours each day.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Washington State Special Education Teacher certification (required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children and a range of disabilities
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and individualized education program (IEP) development
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with students, families, and colleagues
- Comfortable participating in both virtual and in-person interviews
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on student IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and staff to provide inclusive learning opportunities
- Track student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and maintain thorough documentation
- Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
- Engage with families and caregivers to share progress and develop strategies for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the educational planning process
