Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience developing and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet each student’s unique learning needs
- Previous experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and assess customized learning plans for students with varying abilities
- Modify curricula to fit individual learning styles and requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate IEP records and documentation in compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to students
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and relevant training sessions
