Special Education Teacher in Kimberly, ID
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Special Education Teacher in an onsite setting near Kimberly, Idaho. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate.
- Exceptional Child Certificate for Idaho.
- SPED Endorsement.
- Prior experience with evidence-based resource center (ERC) settings preferred.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide toileting support when needed.
- Collaborative mindset, adept at partnering with fellow educators, therapists, and families.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to K-12 students with a range of disabilities (mild, moderate, severe, and medically fragile).
- Create lesson plans tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) and unique developmental needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as required.
- Engage and communicate regularly with classroom staff, specialists, and caregivers.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom atmosphere.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development.
