This contract opportunity begins August 3rd, 2026 and extends through May 21st, 2027, with potential for additional pre- and post-planning days for thorough classroom preparation and reflection. You'll work full-time, supporting a focused caseload of approximately 8–9 students in an inclusion classroom, all while collaborating with dedicated, supportive teams of fellow educators.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Educator Certificate
- Endorsement in SPED General Curriculum
- Proficiency in modifying curriculum and instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Experience working within inclusion settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that foster student growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences
- Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students within the classroom
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates with families and educational teams
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing planning days as needed
