Assignment Details:
- BridgeView: Join a setting 4 program for middle schoolers (grades 6–8), most of whom are identified with developmental cognitive delays. Some utilize wheelchairs and may exhibit occasional mild behavioral needs. Your commitment will foster growth and engagement in a highly supportive, specialized environment.
- Farnsworth Lower: Serve elementary-aged students (caseload of 6–9) in a setting 3 program, focusing on those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). Create individualized educational experiences in a close-knit learning community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license
- Experience supporting students with cognitive delays, ASD, or physical disabilities
- Adaptability to work in varied educational settings and team environments
- Skills in individualized education plan (IEP) development and ongoing progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain detailed documentation of goals and progress
- Collaborate on and implement IEPs
- Foster a supportive, safe, and structured classroom atmosphere
- Participate in any required orientation or training prior to start
