In this role, you will work full-time (37.5 hours per week) and support two specialized classrooms:
- One class designed for students with multiple disabilities (MD), including autism, non-verbal communication, and physical impairments, serving a caseload of 9-12 students.
- A second class for students with emotional disabilities (ED), implementing behavior intervention plans, providing social-emotional instruction, and addressing crisis situations with a caseload of 10-15 students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Special Education Teacher licensure for the state.
- Experience supporting students with multiple and/or emotional disabilities.
- Proficiency in implementing IEPs, BIPs, and differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
- Strong crisis intervention, behavioral management, and communication skills.
- Collaborative approach with teachers, aides, therapists, and families.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering instruction tailored to individual student needs.
- Writing and updating IEPs and progress reports.
- Developing and implementing effective behavior management strategies.
- Engaging in ongoing communication with staff and families.
- Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
