Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Intervention Specialist to support high school students in a Dropout Recovery Program. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping at-risk students overcome barriers to success, achieve academic goals, and earn their high school diploma. This role involves providing specialized instruction, case management, and collaborative support services to students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide specialized instruction and academic interventions to students with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely special education documentation, progress monitoring, and student records.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, counselors, families, and related service providers.
- Conduct assessments and assist with eligibility determinations and reevaluations.
- Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress toward graduation and post-secondary goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
