This contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential services as an itinerant educator, addressing moderate/mild caseload overages for the remainder of the school year.
You will work full time (35-37.5 hours per week), collaborating with general and special education teams to ensure every learner receives the support needed to thrive. Your expertise will be vital in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs).
What we’re looking for:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credentials (must-have requirement)
- In-depth knowledge of best practices for working with students who have mild/moderate disabilities
- Experience supporting a range of learning needs, either in an itinerant or school-based setting
- Strong ability to communicate with staff, students, and families
- Organizational skills and adaptability to manage a fluid caseload
What you'll do:
- Deliver tailored instruction aligned with students’ IEPs in a variety of school settings
- Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals, collaborating closely with teams and guardians
- Support case management, including completing paperwork, attending meetings, and maintaining compliance
- Consult with school staff to equip them with strategies and accommodations for student success
- Foster an inclusive and responsive learning environment
